Universality of Grief: Mothers Who Lose Children to Adoption

With a PowerPoint overview, presenter will explore the continuum of mother losses and the universality of mothers’ grief, the impact of class, age and powerlessness on adoption loss, alternatives to adoption loss, and empowerment of mothers.  Presenter: Mirah Riben, activist, lecturer, freelance writer, author, shedding light on...The Dark Side of Adoption, and The Stork Market: America's Multi-Billion Dollar Unregulated Adoption Industry.
