She May Be At It Again!

Angelina Jolie reportedly plans to add a girl from Syria to her brood of six kids, according to Al Arabiya and OK! Angelina and recently visited Iraqi refugees in the country, which borders Iraq, and now she's decided her next kid will come from Syria. Brad's name is reportedly not on the papers filed with the US Immigration and Naturalization Service, which could bode ill.

Brad and Angelina have five kids under the age of five, plus oldest son Maddox, who's eight. Add two high-powered movie career and all their charity work, and you wouldn't blame either of them for feeling overwhelmed. "[Brad] has made it clear that six children are more than he can handle," a family "insider" tattled to Metro UK. "The idea of one more seemed ludicrous, but Angie is determined to complete her rainbow family."

Is Adoption Ever Wrong?

My NAAM proposal: If adoption's so great, who doesn't everyone give away one of THEIR kids??Let's just play Russian Roulette at every birth and give each baby born to the next passing stranger and so on until we redistribute every human being!

OK, that's just being silly. What we really need to do is just give every baby of the poor to a richer family. And every baby of the middle class to an ultra wealthy family and so on. I mean, kids DESERVE to ride in chauffeur driven Bentleys!  Give every baby of a teen to an older couple, though not TOO old.

We could every baby born to smokers to non-smokers. And babies born to the obese to slimmer parents Wouldn't that be a better world for everyone?

And that's why Angelina Jolie deserves all the babies she can get her hands on! She is slim, ultra wealthy and not too young or too old!  She's PERFECT and that's what every child deserves: the perfect mommy to hand him over to nannies to raise!

But perhaps I've missed something....

Is Adoption Ever Bad? 

In "honor" of NAAM, this (self-evident to us) question is being asked and discussed over at Momaroo where the blog poster seems to intimate that celebs who adopt are "picked on" by the media.

Remember: Blogging is a powerful tool! SERIOUSLY!  Minds DO get changed as witnessed recently in the case of Autumn.

So, please accept the invitation (challenge?) to let the readers of Momaroo know exactly what could possibly be wrong with a win-win pie-in-the-sky process such as the saving of unwanted children through adoption!

Brangelina Adoption Obsession

Amidst rumors of Brad's drug use, separations and living apart (hey, what else is there to do while waiting online at the supermarket checkout than read the tabloid headlines!)...Angelina Jolie has sparked speculation that she is planning another adoption after visiting an orphanage in Ethiopia and bonding with a little girl.

To his credit, Brad Pitt is reportedly against another adoption right now and it was claimed that fight turned nasty as he accused her of being “like a kid in a pet store, wanting all the cute puppies.” Angelina is said to start the paperwork and will adopt with or without Brad’s help.
One thing is certain, it is not possible for Angelina to work with Brad because she did not have the time as they raise six children together. She added that they try to find a balance in their lives because they want to educate their children and fulfill their dreams.

Will "Changeling" Change Angelina Jolie?

Have you seen the trailers: Angelina Jolie clutching her chest ala Sarah Bernhardt, shouting agonizingly and painfully: “I want my son!”

Clint Eastwood chose a story so incredible, were it not true, it would still have made a good (albeit unbelievable) movie. But knowing it actually occurred makes the facts of the rampant police corruption and elaborate cover-ups, including institutionalizing women who are a risk to the maintenance of their power and control…extraordinary.

Also notable was the recreation of California in the 20’s and 30’s and excellent performances by relatively unknown child actors.

But what amazes and intrigues the most is the star of the film, Angelina Jolie (who wore makeup, even while committed to a mental hospital!). The irony of this woman who takes others peoples children like trophies or stray kittens or a collection of ceramic dolls playing this role is incredulous!

Does Jolie the woman - Jolie the mother – dissociate totally from Jolie the actress playing the role of a mother suffering the loss of a child? Does she use some reverse form of method acting to not feel the agony of a mother’s inability to accept an interchangeable child for her “own”?

Amy Ryan’s character, Carol Dexter, “gets it.” She identifies with Jolie’s character, Christine Collins, because Dexter has lost two children because of incompetent medical care.

In an additional irony, Carol Dexter, who is also incarcerated in the psyche ward, shares with Christine the secret to staying safe in the loony bin. Counseling Christine (the new fish) to eat and act “normal,” Dexter explains that if you smile too much, you look delusional/hysterical; if you cry, you're depressed; and if you show no emotions, you are emotionally devoid/catatonic. I was struck by the fact that these are the very same criteria social workers of the 60’s used to judged “unwed” mothers – already a suspiciously deviant lot for having “gotten themselves” pregnant.

Angie please...stop the insanity! The kids you take have family, they have cultures that you pluck them from. They have mothers who cry for them...and just like Christine Collins, never give up the hope of seeing them again.

Art, in this case is far more real than the world of Angelina Jolie in which mothers are interchangeable.

Angelina IRONY

It's called Changeling.

It's a new movie based on a true story of a missing child in th 1920s. Synopsis: “A mother’s prayer for her kidnapped son to return home is answered, though it doesn’t take long for her to suspect the boy who comes back is not hers.”

"To find her son, she did what no one else dared."

Changeling is directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Angelina Jolie...the woman who "collects" children.

Watch the preview and hear Angelina Jolie scream: "I want my son back!"

Hear her say: "I know my son my son is out there...I can still feel him."

I understand that acting is acting...but does she make no connection whatsoever between the emotions she is portraying in this distraught mother and the mothers of the children she has "bought"?
